New Floor Heating Panels from Nordic Fos

EXPERIENCE UNPARALLELED COMFORT, EFFICIENCY, AND INNOVATION WITH OUR CUTTING-EDGE SOLUTIONS. SAY GOODBYE TO COLD FLOORS AND HELLO TO WARMTH AND COZINESS. WELCOME TO THE FUTURE OF FLOOR HEATING.

In recent years, advancements in Floor Heating have transitioned from traditional Heating Coils embedded in concrete to lightweight Floor Heating Panels that offer rapid heat distribution, resulting in reduced energy consumption. This shift underscores why Nordic Fos Floor Heating Panels are the practical choice for new energy-efficient constructions or renovations of older buildings. The panels can serve as the primary heat source, eliminating the necessity for radiators and offering enhanced architectural flexibility.

Developed by Scandinavian universities

Nordic Fos's Floor Heating Panels are the result of close collaboration with technical universities. Expert teams were dedicated to crafting an energy-efficient system with easy installation. These panels facilitate rapid temperature regulation, including features like night setback and ongoing thermostat adjustment, ultimately reducing energy consumption, benefiting the environment, and cutting costs. The innovation lies in placing heating coils closer to the floor, with reduced distances and dimensions, enhancing efficiency.

Response time of just 30 minutes

Older Floor Heating systems, relying on coils cast in concrete, typically have a lengthy 24-hour response time. NORDIC FOS's new systems drastically reduce this to just 30 minutes. This quick response time allows room thermostats to efficiently regulate heat consumption continuously, adapting to factors like natural sunlight or occupancy levels. Consequently, consumers can save on heating bills while enjoying a superior indoor climate. With our Floor Heating Panels, requiring a flow temperature of only 30–32°C, energy-efficient heating is achieved, resulting in potential savings of up to 20% compared to concrete-cast floor heating systems. Moreover, meeting DS 469 requirements for light structures means these panels can serve as a primary heat source.

One panel does it all

Nordic Fos introduces a new Floor Heating Panel with aluminum heat distribution throughout and a U-shaped turning track integrated into all panels. Compatible with Heating Coils of 12, 16, and 20 mm diameters, these panels measure 120x60 cm (0.72 m²), conveniently delivered folded in a manageable 60x60 cm dimension, weighing less than 1 kg. This streamlined design facilitates quicker and easier installation compared to previous methods.

Suitable for all floor types

NORDIC FOS floor heating panels are made from XPS 500, which has a high compressive strength of 40 t/m2. Unlike other solutions in EPS, XPS has significantly better long-term compressive strength. This is important for floors which are subjected to loads. Compared to EPS, XPS has minimal moisture absorption, and is therefore suitable for solutions with both cooling and heating. As a result, you can install all kinds of floors immediately on top of the heating panels: tiles, natural stone, parquet and laminate flooring. Herringbone parquet glued to a floor panel; even a thin layer of concrete can be cast to create an industrial, fashionable, New York-style floor.

Extra thin version for renovations

Floor Heating Panels are crafted from XPS 500, boasting an impressive compressive strength of 40 t/m2. Unlike EPS alternatives, XPS offers superior long-term compressive strength, crucial for floors enduring heavy loads. With minimal moisture absorption compared to EPS, XPS is ideal for solutions involving both cooling and heating. This allows for the immediate installation of various flooring types directly atop the heating panels, including tiles, natural stone, parquet, and laminate flooring. Even herringbone parquet can be securely glued to the floor panel, while a thin layer of concrete can be applied to achieve a trendy New York-style floor.

Suitable for all forms of energy, including low energy

Our Floor Heating Panels stand out for their remarkable capability to harness heat from low-energy sources such as geothermal, solar, and heat pump systems. Unlike traditional radiator systems that require flow temperatures of 50–60 degrees, these panels can efficiently operate at much lower temperatures, ranging from 30–35 degrees. This unique feature not only enhances energy efficiency but also underscores their sustainability in heating applications.

Underfloor Heating Coils

For Floor Heating installations without casting, it is always important to use five-layer Underfloor Heating Coils. This way you avoid creaking sounds when the thermostat turns on and off. Compared to three-layer coils, the additional cost of five-layer coils is small, and you get a much better result.
